I was inspired by a trip to Italy to the city of Genoa for a series of paintings with dogs. I saw a completely different attitude towards dogs than I was used to seeing. A relationship where a four-legged friend is a person’s constant companion throughout the day, and the whole city contributes to this lifestyle in various little ways. On this journey, I relied on the support of loved ones, and in the relationship of the citizens of Genoa with their furry members of the city, I also saw support and humanity.
